Contaminated soils (approximately 1,515 cubic yards) were excvated and disposed at Covel Gardens Landfill.  The area of excavation measured approximately 7,000 square feet by 5 feet deep.  Excavated area was back-filled with clay-rich soil and a 2-foot thick low-permeability clay liner was constructed over the site.
