[Closure Plan]

Partial Facility Closure Plan for
B-20 Detonation Area
March 1994

Section 8
Closure Report and Certification

A final closure report will be prepared following the completion of closure at the B-20 site.  The closure report will be submitted within 60 days of closure completion and will be certified by an independent registered professional engineer.  The report will contain sufficient documentation to demonstrate that the remedy has been completed in accordance with the approved plan, and will describe the procedures CSSA will undertake on approval of the final report to fulfill the deed recordation requirements of 31 TAC 335.566.  If contaminant residue remains in the unit, the closure report will include a post-closure plan.  Furthermore, as requested in the letter of 13 January 1994, CSSA will submit a survey plat to the local zoning authority and to the EPA Regional Administrator.  The survey plat will indicate the location and dimensions of the hazardous waste disposal units with respect to permanently surveyed benchmarks.

Within 90 days after acceptance of the final closure report by the TNRCC and EPA, CSSA will record the B-20 site in the county deed records.  The deed recordation will include a certification as detailed in 31 TAC 335.566, a description of controls placed in the area, a metes-and-bounds description of the area and a statement that information concerning the remediation is available through the TNRCC.
