March 2000 On-Post Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report
Section 1 - Introduction
Groundwater monitoring was performed March 20 and 21, 2000 at Camp Stanley Storage Activity (CSSA) and is scoped under the Air Mobility Command (AMC) Contract F11623-94-D0024, Delivery Order RL74.� Resampling at Well 16, necessary due to a laboratory error on the original sample, was conducted on April 27, 2000.� The previous five monitoring events were scoped under the Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence (AFCEE) Contract F41624-94-D-8136, Delivery Order DO23.� Groundwater monitoring under AFCEE Order DO23 was initiated in 1997.� The next sampling event is scheduled for June 2000, which is one of four sampling events remaining under Order RL74.� AFCEE/ERD and AFCEE/ERC provide technical oversight.
The Texas Department of Health (TDH) detected groundwater contamination at CSSA in 1991.� TDH sampled CSSA Well 16 on 8-9 August 1991, followed by resampling on 23 August 1991.� TWC sampled Well 16 on 4 December 1991.� All CSSA wells were resampled in 1992.� A monitoring program was initiated in May 1994.� All work pertaining to the groundwater investigation up through June 1996 is summarized in the Groundwater Investigation and Associated Source Characterizations Report (Parsons ES, 1996).
