Final TO42 Site Survey Report
Conclusions and Recommendations
On 14 November 2001, a field survey of proposed monitoring well sites located at CSSA was conducted (see Figure 1). The survey team consisted of two Parsons geologists. The geologists are experienced with and have knowledge of site geology and the scope of work to be performed. The sites surveyed included 11 new monitoring well locations and five existing wells. The well installation and upgrade sites are all accessible for the purposes of the current scope of work. Minor improvements may become necessary at several sites to facilitate equipment movement and placement
Parsons recommendations and issues subsequent to the TO42 site survey are presented below in tabular format. Suggested possible modifications to some well locations will be dependent on actual field conditions and work site arrangements at the time of each well installation or upgrade.
Well Site | Summary of Site Issues and Suggested Modifications
| CSSA Task | Parsons Task |
CS-MW1 | Temporary removal or relocation of barbed wire pasture fence. | None |
CS-MW2 | May need construction entrance into site. Add fill around existing pad. | Identify and mark edges of AOCs -42 and-58 bordering CS-MW-2 site. |
CS-MW3 | Future work may require removal of defunct overhead power line. Minor cedar and oak trimming. Gate 6 traffic arrangements. Modify adjacent pasture gate to improve site access. | None |
CS-MW5 | Future well installations may be slowed due to limited availability of level ground.
CS-MW11 | Move boulders and fallen tree; build a gravel construction entrance to site. | None |
CS-MW12 | Build a gravel construction entrance to site. | None |
CS-G | None | Trim overhanging oak limbs |
