Final TO42 Site Survey Report

Non-Clustered Lower Glen Rose Wells

CS-MW13-LGR an CS-MW14-LGR

Location and Purpose - The proposed locations of CS-MW13-LGR and CS-MW14-LGR is near the south end of Building 90 between CSSAs western boundary and the south fork of Tompkins Road, on the north side of the existing CS-MW8 cluster. The purpose of work at these sites is to install Westbay Multi-port (MP) wells for groundwater monitoring within the LGR Formation. Final location to be determined from geophysical surveys being conducted near AOC-65.

Accessibility - The area is easily accessed from the paved south fork of Tompkins Road, via the same entrance used for CS-MW8 construction. The ground is level and mowed but bounded on the north side by a sudden, steep, artificial rise in elevation to a former underground storage tank (UST) site. The upper elevation corresponds to the Building 90 foundation level. The raised UST platform, existing CS-MW8 wells, and nearby utilities could limit, but will not prohibit, space for placement and installation of the Westbay MP wells.

Personnel requiring access to the site are Parsons field teams and vehicles, drilling subcontractor with rigs and trailers, water and vacuum trucks, backhoes, geophysical well logger with van, roll-off delivery truck, and surveyors with a vehicle.

Utilities - The proposed CS-MW13 cluster site is bordered by utilities to the west and east. There is a north to south shallow swale about 75 feet inside the CSSA fence. There are underground gas and water lines as well as overhead power lines between the fence and swale. A water main also runs alongside the road on the east side of the site. All utilities will need to be identified by the CSSA craft team, and a digging permit issued.

Other Site Issues - Proximity to CS-MW8 and an open view from Ralph Fair Road. The site may become extremely muddy and slippery for vehicles during wet weather.

CS-MW17-LGR

This site was not surveyed as an original drilling location. Since the DQOs, this well has been added to the program. The description has been generalized from prior experience and general site knowledge.

Location and Purpose - The site proposed for CS-MW17-LGR is in the East Pasture, approximately 1,800 feet northeast of Gate 7.

Accessibility - Personnel requiring access to the site are Parsons field teams and vehicles, drilling subcontractor with rigs and trailers, water and vacuum trucks, backhoes, geophysical well logger with van, roll-off delivery truck, and surveyors with a vehicle.

Utilities None are expected in this locality. However, any utilities will need to be identified by the CSSA craft team, and a digging permit issued.

Other Site Issues None at this time.

CS-MW18-LGR

This site was not surveyed as an original drilling location. Since the DQOs, this well has been added to the program. The description has been generalized from prior experience and general site knowledge.

Location and Purpose - The site proposed for CS-MW18-LGR is in the southwest quadrant of the Inner Cantonment. The proposed location will be near Tompkins Road, and southwest of the Fire Station.

Accessibility - Personnel requiring access to the site are Parsons field teams and vehicles, drilling subcontractor with rigs and trailers, water and vacuum trucks, backhoes, geophysical well logger with van, roll-off delivery truck, and surveyors with a vehicle.

Utilities Since this site in within the infrastructure of the Inner Cantonment, some utilities can be expected. All utilities will need to be identified by the CSSA craft team, and a digging permit issued.

Other Site Issues None at this time.

CS-MW19-LGR

This site was not surveyed as an original drilling location. Since the DQOs, this well has been added to the program. The description has been generalized from prior experience and general site knowledge.

Location and Purpose - The site proposed for CS-MW19-LGR is in the central portion of the Inner Cantonment. The proposed location will be 500 feet east on Central Road, in the vicinity of munitions storage igloos.

CS-MW20-LGR and CS-MW21-LGR

This site was not surveyed as an original drilling location. Since the DQOs, this well has been added to the program. The description has been generalized from prior experience and general site knowledge.

Location and Purpose - The proposed locations of CS-MW20-LGR and CS-MW21-LGR are located off-post on the property of RFR-10. The purpose of work at these sites is to install Westbay Multi-port (MP) wells for groundwater monitoring within the LGR Formation. Final location to be determined from geophysical surveys being conducted near AOC-65.

Accessibility - The drilling location is accessed from 25490 Old Fredericksburg Road. The site is on private property for which CSSA has already established an access agreement. Sensitivity to the privacy of the landowner must be maintained at all times. Extra care to keep the site clean and orderly will be conducted at all times.

Personnel requiring access to the site are Parsons field teams and vehicles, drilling subcontractor with rigs and trailers, water and vacuum trucks, backhoes, geophysical well logger with van, roll-off delivery truck, and surveyors with a vehicle.

Utilities Off-post utilities will require clearance by utilizing the Texas One Call system (1‑800‑545‑6005). Any private utility systems (water, gas, and power) installed by the landowner will also require location and marking.

Other Site Issues None at this time.
