SAP Addendum Specific to Delivery Order TO 0008

Section 1 - Introduction

This document is an amendment to the existing SAP for quarterly groundwater monitoring (Volume 1-4: Sampling and Analysis Plan and Quality Assurance Project Plan) in the CSSA Environmental Encyclopedia. The purpose of this addendum is to identify and address specific sampling and analysis plan items for the TO 0008 field activities and confirm that the activities will be conducted as set out in the original Sampling and Analysis Plan (SAP) or subsequent addenda.

This addendum to the SAP is prepared in accordance with applicable state regulations. The guidance for sampling techniques was adapted from the AFCEE Model Field Sampling Plan (MFSP). Input and recommendations from the U.S. EPA�Region 6 and the TCEQ were also considered and incorporated into the planning documents.

1.1 - Field Activities

1. Perform three rounds of groundwater monitoring from selected off-post wells and perform monthly operation and maintenance (O&M) at GAC systems located off-post.

2. Perform three rounds of groundwater monitoring from selected on-post wells.

3. Perform three rounds of monthly sampling at Westbay^�-equipped wells located both on- and off-post.

4. Collect and dispose of liquid investigation derived waste (IDW).

5. Operate and perform basic O&M tasks at the TPDES-permitted granular activated carbon (GAC) treatment system located at Outfall 002.
