Soils: Brackett-Tarrant Association (hilly), Krum Complex, Trinity and Frio Soils (frequently flooded), Tarrant Association (gently undulating) and Lewisville Silty Clay (1-3% slopes).
Known: The site is approximately 15 acres in size and includes the area surrounding Well 16, north of AOC 35, AOC 37 and AOC 39.
Previous Investigations: None.
Data Needs: Map and soil gas survey.
Closure Activities: The following activities constitute an initial investigation of AOC 66. This work will be completed as part of the requirements under the RCRA 3008(h) Order under AETC delivery order 5068.
1. Field map AOC 66 as described in Section 2.4.1 of the Work Plan Overview.
2. Conduct a geophysical survey of the mapped site, as described in Section 2.4.1 of the Work Plan Overview to identify any anomalies. This task is currently not scoped under AETC DO5068.
3. Conduct a soil gas survey of the mapped site in order to complete contour lines above Well 16. The soil gas survey will be set on a 100 foot grid and tied into soil gas information collected from AOC 41 and AOC 37. Up to 100 points will sampled as shown on Figure AOC66-1.
4. If the results of the above work indicate that the site can be closed under RRS1 without any further remediation, a technical/closure report will be prepared in accordance with TNRCC closure.
