AOC 49 Delisting Report

Section 3 - Conclusions and Recommendations

AOC‑49 consists of a potential trench area identified due to a ground depression. Based on field data, it is unlikely the site was ever used for waste management. Field surveys indicate that there is no surface debris present at the site and the geophysical survey, completed January 6, 2005, indicates that there is no buried waste present.

Since no surface waste was observed at the site and no subsurface waste was revealed during the geophysical survey, the site does not contain any evidence of waste management. Since there is no evidence of waste management at the site, samples were not collected for laboratory analyses.

Results of this investigation indicate that AOC‑49 was not used for waste management and there is no documented evidence that any contamination was ever present at the site. No olfactory evidence, soil discoloration, or any other waste management indicators were found at the site. Because this site was identified as an area of concern solely due to the presence of a ground depression, and geophysical survey did not indicate any buried waste, it is recommended that AOC-49 be delisted.
