June

Areas with noted anomalies were excavated June 1997, each anomaly identified during the magnetometer survey was excavated to determine if it was buried UXO or mustard gas shells. Excavated soils were sifted. No mustard gas shells or evidence of mustard gas shells were identified throughout the site. Throughout the excavation activities, Schonstadt GA-52B Locators were used to verify removal of anomalies.

10 surface samples were collected throughout the AOC, and were biased towards those locations which exhibited elevated levels of chlorinated hydrocarbons during the 1995 soil gas survey. Samples were analyzed for PCE, TCE, and DCE-isomers only. No contaminants were detected in any of the surface samples submitted.
