7th Quarterly Progress Report

November 1, 2000 January 31, 2001

This seventh quarterly progress report for CSSA, Texas, U.S. EPA Identification Number TX2210020739, is submitted in accordance with the Administrative Order on Consent (Order) issued to CSSA on May 5, 1999 pursuant to 3008(h) of the Solid Waste Disposal Act, as amended by RCRA, and further amended by the Hazardous and Solid Waste Amendments of 1984, 42 U.S.C. 6928(h).  This report addresses the seventh progress reporting period for the project and includes progress on the project from November 1, 2000 through January 31, 2001 (Quarter 7).  Subsequent progress reports will continue to be submitted on a quarterly basis.

An updated project team chart along with telephone numbers and addresses is also included.

Order work tasks include four basic categories: Interim Measures, RCRA Facility Investigation, Corrective Measures Study, and Corrective Measures Implementation.  To meet the requirements of the Order, it is estimated that the majority of the work efforts will be part of the RCRA Facility Investigation and the Corrective Measures Implementation.  As described in the first Quarterly Progress Report (reporting period: May 1, 1999 July 31, 1999), Interim Measures, RCRA Facility Investigation, and Corrective Measures Implementation each account for approximately 30% of the Order tasks.  The remaining 10% consist of the Corrective Measures Study.  Details of the evaluation of each percent complete are included as Attachment 1.
