Volume 1 - Scoping Documents

Scoping documents include documents such as background information, correspondence, current conditions, work plans, site maps, field sampling plans, quality assurance plans, laboratory audits, and health and safety plans. The scoping documents for CSSA are contained in Volume 1, which is comprised of 6 subvolumes (1-1 through 1-6). The sites for CSSA are divided into three different categories:
Solid waste management units (SWMUs) - these sites are areas of environmental concern, defined by past records, usage affiliated with solid waste management practices, and field observations.
Areas of concern (AOCs) - these sites are areas of potential or suspected environmental concern.
Rifle management units (RMUs) - these sites were or are currently used for rifle and ammunition practice, and therefore are of environmental concern for investigation.
